Ordinance 2010 - ___
AN ORDINANCE TO UPDATE WAGES AND BENEFITS FOR HOURLY PAID EMPLOYEES AND AMEND APPLICABLE SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE 2006-05
WHEREAS, it is necessary to update the Wages and Benefits for Hourly Employees.
WHEREAS, at the appropriate places within Ordinance 2006-05 the following shall be changed to read.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:
SECTION 1 Shall be amended by the following:
... shall be paid a Base Wage of $7.25 per hour or the Federal Minimum Wages...
SECTION 2 AND 3 Shall be amended by the following:
General Labor - $7.25 per hour Base Wage, or the Federal Minimum Wage...
Full Time Employees that were actively scheduled and working on January 1, 2010 shall receive a 4.0% (four percent) increase to the 2010 Base Rate paid to them.
Ohio Water and Wastewater Licenses will be amended by removal of the following:
Any Village Employee obtaining a Water Backflow Certification shall receive $.50 per hour.
Section 3 shall also be amended by the following:
...After thirty (30) days of employment Full Time Employees shall receive Single or Family Coverage Hospitalization Insurance, whichever is applicable...
Any Full Time Employee legally separated from his/her spouse for 30 or more days shall be responsible for paying the full spouse's monthly Health Insurance premium, if the spouse is covered on the Village's Insurance.
SECTION 4 Shall be amended by the following:
All Hourly Employees shall take no less than half their earned vacation hours during the calendar year. Employees must take the time off work, the Village will not cash in the hours.
The provisions of this Ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date permitted by law.
Ordinance 2010 - ___
AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH FOR ONE YEAR ONLY A SWITCH IN RATE INCREASES THAT ARE IN ORDINANCE 2005-07 AND ORDINANCE 2005-08 FOR THE ANNUAL WATER AND WASTEWATER RATES
WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Gambier has determined that it is necessary to increase the Revenue of the Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the Village of Gambier, Knox County, Ohio as follows:
Effective with the billing period starting on or about May 20, 2010, for one year only the Village of Gambier finds it necessary to switch the annual rate increases for Water and Wastewater. The one year increase for the water rate will be two (2) percent. The one year increase for the wastewater rate will be five (5) percent.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, or at the earliest period allowable by law.
