RECYCLING PROGRAM
The Village's recycling pick-up is on Thursday mornings. Your recycling must be at curbside by 8:00 a.m.

All recycled material must be cleaned and/or rinsed. Please keep your recycling dry. Recommended recycling containers include plastic milk crates (these are ideal as they are light and allow water to drain ), small plastic trash cans or laundry baskets (with holes in the bottom), other small plastic containers, again with holes in the bottom, cardboard boxes (please replace when they get old, soft and/or wet), and brown paper bags.

Please sort your recyclables by the following categories:

1. Aluminum Cans, Steel Food Cans and Aluminum Foil Pans: must be rinsed clean.
2. Newspaper, Insert Ads, White paper, Magazines, Catalogs and Junk Mail: may be mixed together.
3. Cardboard, Pasteboard and Brown Paper Bags: Cardboard must be flattened and can be tied with a single string. No wax laminated cardboard (ie: milk and orange juice containers, ice-cream boxes)
4. Glass Bottles and Jars (only): must be rinsed clean with no caps or lids. No blue glass can be accepted
5. All Plastic. Can be mixed together. Must be rinsed clean with no caps or lids

LEAF PICK-UP
The maintenance department staff starts picking up leaf towards late October. Weather permitting, we try to make three pick-ups per season. Leafs are picked up as residents rake them up. A final pick-up schedule will be posted at the Post Office. Things to remember are:
Rake leaves to front of the property within a few feet of the street.
Do not rake leaves into the street.
Do not block culverts or storm sewers.
Do not bag leaves.
Remove any sticks or limbs from leaves.
Leaves not raked to curb by final pass will be the responsibility of the property owner or resident.
