Village of Gambier Committees, Commissions and Boards

Building and Grounds Committee

The Committee meets on the last Monday of every month. This committee covers issues involving Village parks, cemetery, and their improvements.

Streets and Utilities Committee

The  Committee meets on the last Monday of every month. This committee covers issues involving sidewalks, street lights, and paving.

Public Safety and Personnel Committee

This Committee meets as needed covering issues involving Village personnel and benefits.

Finance and Income Tax Committee

The Committee meets twice yearly in June and November. This Committee covers issues involving the Village budget and other financial topics.

Library, Programming, and Events Committee

The Committee meets as needed for topics pertaining to the Gambier Branch Library and other community events and programming. 

Communications and Technology Committee

This committee meets as needed to cover issues of software and hardware used to complete tasks, and how the Village Council and Government communicates with the community. 

Commissions

Planning and Zoning Commission

The Commission meets every 3rd Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. This Commission covers all areas concerning the regulation of the use of land within the Village and the structures on them.

Records Commission

The Commission meets as needed with a minimum of twice a year. This Commission covers all areas of Village records, storage, and disposal.

Tree Commission

The Commission meets as needed. This Commission covers all areas concerning tree planting and removal within the Village.

Boards

Income Tax Board of Tax Appeals

The Income Tax Board of Appeals meets as needed. This Board hears all appeals regarding income tax collection.
